What happens when you’re a Smart Photography model #2

Every now and then we put a shout out for models on our Facebook page - you should look out for them! Most recently it was makeover models we were seeking.

By 'model' we usually mean a woman, over 21. No other requirements, we're not looking for any modelling experience, we're just after women (last time we were looking for couples too) who would like to come along and have some fab portraits created, for us to use in marketing.

In these sessions we try out new ideas, and develop what we do.

This is how Kelly, the first of our makeover models, returned to us a week ago. Kelly had previously had a boudoir portrait session with us, and had been toying with the idea of coming back for more portraits, so when she spotted our model shout out it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

We met a very different Kelly to last time round! This time she was full of confidence, knowing she was going to have awesome pictures and much more relaxed about the whole thing.

Kelly had a few specific images she wanted to add to her boudoir collection, which Robin was happy to create for her alongside the makeover images we wanted (this is the caveat - if you're modelling for us, you have no opt out on the images being used for marketing. On the plus side, you also get a free makeover, portrait session and print!).

Our stylist, Holly, was briefed to keep the make up natural - hair was up to Kelly herself. She has such beautiful hair it would have been a shame not to keep it down.

Kelly brought along some dresses of her own, and we used some pieces we have  too. We're loving how well a simple vest top and 'tutu' skirt worked for these images!
