Lingerie Guide -

What to Bring & What to Avoid

The Essentials

For your session, bring at least three changes of lingerie.

Must-Haves

  • Matching Bra & Knicker Set – Non-negotiable. Good support = great shape.
  • Brazilian Cut Knickers – The most flattering for bum shots. Not a thong, not full coverage—just right.

More Coverage Options

  • Basques, Babydolls & Bodysuits – Great for standing and sitting shots. Just make sure they fit and actually support you.

Shoes That Work

  • Heels Improve Posture – Even if they’re never in the shot. Stilettos (no ankle straps) are best for leg length.
  • Not a heels person? Converse, DMs, or similar work brilliantly too. Avoid shoe boots & wedges.

Accessories & Extras

  • Layering pieces: Leather, denim, fur/fake fur jackets, slouchy tops, sheer tops, soft cardigans, sheer and lacy robes.
  • Jewellery: If you love it, bring it. If you don’t, skip it.

Lingerie That Works (and Some That Doesn’t)

First rule: FIT MATTERS. If you haven’t been measured in a while, now’s the time. Badly fitted lingerie will fight against you in photos.

Bra & Knicker Sets

  • Good support = great shape.
  • Check the fit: No overspill, no under-boob, no weird armpit bulges.
  •  Push-up bras: Can work, but sometimes look unnatural. Test it before committing.

Corsets

  •  Look incredible—when you’re standing.
  •  Can be a nightmare lying down.
  •  Sweetheart necklines work best for curves & cleavage.
  •  If you love them, bring them—we’ll make them work.

Bustiers & Basques

  •  Corset vibes, but with actual breast support.
  •  Hybrid styles can give a little waist cinch + lift.
  •  A solid alternative if you want structure without the struggle.

Babydolls

  •  Sheer skirts = best choice.
  •  Light, floaty, and great for movement.
  •  Avoid if you want structure or support.

Trying On Tips

  • Check yourself in the mirror. Stand, sit, and move—does it still look good?
  • Test how it looks lying down. Some items (hello, corsets) only work upright. (If your boobs disappear into your armpits, like mine, go for more support).
  •  Bring options. That way, you’ll always have something that works for every pose.

Stockings, Suspenders & Hold-Ups

Stockings look great—but they take some effort.

Suspender Belts

  • Look amazing. Classic. Timeless.
  • Also fiddly as hell. New straps? Stiff as a board. Practise before your session.
  • Pair with normal stockings, NOT hold-ups.

Struggling? Your stylist can help. Or, just switch to hold-ups. No stress.

Hold-Ups & Stockings

  • Hold-ups = effortless. If they pinch, try regular stockings instead.
  • Darker colours = more flattering.
  • Fishnets? Always a win.

We have a selection of stockings and hold-ups so if in doubt, leave it to us.

Flattering What You Love (and Covering What You Don’t)

For a Killer Bum Shot

  • Cheeky/Brazilian knickers work better than thongs. Just enough coverage, but still flattering.
  • Bodysuits = a solid choice.

For Longer-Looking Legs

  • High-cut undies & bodysuits = instant leg length.
  • Heels help too—even if they don’t make it into the shot.

If You Want More Coverage

  • Basques = lift + shape + coverage.

  • Lace robes, crisp white shirts, or soft tank tops over lingerie = effortless & flattering.

  • Long-sleeved bodysuits = sleek and great for arms.

The key? Wear what makes you feel good—not just what you think you ‘should’ wear.

Final Prep: What to Bring & What to Avoid

Shoes

  • Bring at least one pair of black heels. The higher, the better. (We do have sizes 3 - 8 here for you to borrow).
  • No ankle straps. They cut off the leg line.
  • Not a heels person? Barefoot or boots (DMs, Converse) can work too.

Jewellery

  • Statement pieces = always a win.
  • Bring anything you love—we’ll help you choose what works.
  • If you never wear jewellery, skip it. No need to force it.

Props

  • A great way to show personality. (We’ve had everything from guitars to guns!)
  • Keep it subtle—less is more. Avoid full-on costume vibes.

Colours

  • Contrast is key. Jewel tones, deep colours, and classic black all look incredible.
  • White/nude/ivory? Keep it for bridal boudoir.

What to Avoid

  • Anything that doesn’t fit well or support you.
  • Slips & teddies—no lift, no shape, no point.
  • Bring more outfits than you think you need—options are good.

Bonus Challenge

  • Bring one outfit outside your comfort zone. You don’t have to wear it—but you might just love it.

Last-minute nerves? ‘What do I even buy?’ panic? Call me.
