Most clients are coming to us for the awesome confidence boost a boudoir portrait session will give them (even though they're also thinking "it will never work for me").

You might though be considering your boudoir portraits as a gift for your partner - and sometimes it's this thought that actually gives you the confidence to do it (not to mention that it's sometimes easier to justify spending money on someone else than it is for yourself - particularly for women).

If you have in mind giving them as a gift, it's very easy to get very caught up in what your partner will like.
I'll give you a clue - your partner is almost certainly going to love portraits of you, in beautiful lingerie - the main thing is that you feel comfortable with what you're doing. This will show in your images, making for more natural portraits that you'll both love.

It's always going to be our focus that you are happy with your portraits and how you look in them. That's not to say that we're going to ignore what your other half wants, but the most important thing is for you to feel confident in giving this gift. So you will always be the most important person for us to consider.

That said, if you're giving your boudoir portraits as a gift, it's nice to include something of their's in your portraits. Anything from a favourite shirt or t-shirt to some beautiful jewellery they've bought for you can be highlighted.  At your pre-session chat we'll talk through the kinds of things to bring - they could have a hobby you'd like to incorporate (we've had golf clubs, rock climbing gear and even guns brought along!), or they might simply love you in one particular pair of heels.

We'll plan out together what to bring along, and look at sample images to see how a little bit of them can be brought into your session so that when they eventually see your portraits, their smile gets just that little bit broader.

I was incredibly nervous but instantly felt relaxed when I got there.
The session went really well and I throughly enjoyed every minute.
I loved seeing the images after but not as much as I loved seeing my fiancé's face when I gave them to him for his birthday

We feel that your portraits should be a gift for both of you. So if you'd like to have a chat about having some boudoir portraits created with us, just fill in the form below, or call me on 01993 883645.

Much love,
Anna

  1. Ooh sounds lovely, boudoir photo shoots bring out the sexy in a woman, but in a classy way. I have to admit I’d be very shy to take part in a boudoir photo shoot. Plus being single, the photos wouldn’t be seen by my ‘other half’… but on second thought, that’s no excuse not to have a shoot I guess 🙂
